Ive owned this app for several years. Its a nightly occurrence for our daughter as she is falling asleep. Alan is a fabulous storyteller! Lovely voice! The problem we have is that the app is terrible in terms of reliability. Ive bought several stories which require them to be uploaded each time we try to listen. The problem is that they will not upload no matter how long we wait. Very sad to us :( I hope they will fix it soon!

I am so excited about The Story Home App! The App is absolutely beautiful, easy enough for a child to use - and love the bookmark and pause feature! We already made The Story Home a staple in our family, and listen every day to one of Alans beautiful stories - but now we can access The Story Home on the go, while spending the night at relatives homes during the holidays, or just making a quiet moment last amidst the holiday hub-bub. Thank you, thank you!

This app is fabulous! Its easy to download and purchase stories to entertain kids and theyre all read with such care and kindness. Anyone with kids should download this app. For sure!

This is a beautifully designed app. My niece and nephew absolutely love the stories and are downloading more. They lay there at night listening to these delightful stories with their headphones on. Thanks for providing such entertaining and engaging stories so inexpensively! Im recommending it to all the parents I know.

Great stories that my kids really enjoy. Dont need them to interact on the screen. These stories help fire their imagination. I use them for car rides with the kids.

Not worth a penny. Have no interaction & boring. My 4 yr. old didnt pay no attention because its all talking & no interaction. Is like a grown childs stories. Also if your child is younger than 4 better not get this story book application aside from bored the toddler. Aweful & not worth a penny.

What a wonderful surprise it was finding these stories for our travels! Just wanted to let you know we appreciate having this app. My kids, 4 and 7, cant wait to listen to their favorites.

I was quite unsure of whether to buy this app. After all, I have many episodes from the Story Home podcast, but, nevertheless, I simply couldnt help giving the app a try. I was sure that if I loved the podcast as much as I did, I would be delighted with the app. When I listened to the first free story that came with the app, I found that old, familiar happiness I always feel when listening to the wonderful, warm, soothing voice I heard on the Story Home podcast. What I didnt expect, and what surprised and delighted me so much more than the excellent narration, was the music and sound effects in the background. Wow! What a wonderful idea! It makes the 0.99 price tag for each story totally worth while! However, I have one tiny little feature request, which is why I gave this app only 4 stars. Being a low vission iPhone user, I take advantage of the iPhones built-in accessibility feature that reads the screen aloud to the user. I must say that this app works wonderfully with this accessibility feature, called VoiceOver, by the way. However, the buttons are labeled in such a way that its hard for me to understand what they do. When I touch one, for example, VoiceOver will read aloud, "Btn2." What does that mean? What does it do? The only way I could find out was to go ahead and tap it. While this little problem presents no major consequence, it would be nice if the buttons were better labeled so that they will be more properly identified by VoiceOver. That way, Ill understand what Im tapping before I actually make my selection. Other than this minor issue, though, the Story Home is clearly a must-have app for parents, children, and classic literature enthusiasts like myself, especially if you love music, sound effects, and awesome narration!

We have a 9 year old who loves to hear a story at night. Alan does a great job of telling them. It helps our daughter settle down for the night when shes wound up. I dont mind listening either. ;) I had a small problem, which I created myself, and still was able to get it all fixed thanks to a call from The Story Teller himself, and Mrs. Story Teller too! Thanks a lot for that help! I REALLY recommend this app. Sure, it costs a little more to get more stories, but theyre a buck a pop and every third one is free. This is surely not much money.

If your going to have a pay app which is basically 3 stories you probably shouldnt advertise as 3 free stories. Otherwise good stuff.

When all else fails the story home serves as a calming element in our family - awesome awesome results from Alans warm readings, thank you so much for this wonderful App

This app saved my day! My beautiful grandchildren were overtired and cranky. I need help! Alans dulcet tones calmed the kids immediately. They soon drifted off to sleep and after a while woke rested and refreshed from a terrific nap. In the meantime, I took a little nap of my own. This app is really worth what I paid for it!

Absolutely love this app and the stories on it! Well worth the modest price.

Alan "your storyteller" has the perfect voice. Listening to his creative but soothing voice helps to calm us down before bedtime or when we are traveling or waiting in line. Your the best!!

This app is just a gateway to get more money from you once you buy it. There is 3 audio stories (no illustrations of any type what so ever) and then $0.99 from there on for any other stories.

This App is fantastic!!! The voice of the storyteller is warm, articulate and soothing. This is perfect for story time before bed or for travel. Completely entertaining and enriching. Need I say more? Wonderful, just wonderful!!!

I dont know what arthurian34 was talking about. I babysit 8 kids and they love it. Its a life saver because they fall asleep right away! and since theres no illustrations, they get to use their brains even more and also learn how to do critical thinking. I love it!!! love it!! Love it!! Ill definitely recommend it.
